Tea Vendor Beats 20-Year-Old to Death Over Alleged Theft | Daily Report Nigeria

 

A 40-year-old tea vendor, Abdulrashibu Ya’u, has been arrested for beating 20-year-old Hassan Garba to death in Sararai village, Jigawar Tsada town, Dutse Local Government Council of Jigawa State.

Ya’u accused Garba of stealing bread, milk, noodles, and petrol, and in a fit of rage, tied him with a rope and beat him with a stick, leading to his death.

According to DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, Police Public Relations Officer in Jigawa, Ya’u admitted to the crime during questioning at the State Criminal Investigation Department in Dutse.

“He said he had previously informed Garba’s parents about the thefts, but no action was taken, which infuriated him,” Adam said.
