Tension has risen in a community in Enugu state following the death of four people.
According to reports, the incident, which happened on Sunday, September 1, 2024 in Amaze community in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State saw the demise of a family of four – a woman, her daughter, mother and sister for allegedly food poisoning.

Although the exact cause of their death is still unknown, the incident has thrown the entire community into mourning.
It was gathered that the quad had shared a meal the previous night before going to bed. And some residents on Facebook bad claimed it was food poisoning.

Confirming the incident, the traditional ruler of the community, HRH Igwe Felix Ugwu said the victim, identified as Mama Chijioke Amaeze, had brought her ailing mother into her home and had been caring for her before the mysterious incident claimed the lives of her mom, her sister, and her daughter
The monarch added tha although the police had taken the bodies to the morgue, the painful incident has made the community decide to go spiritual to uncover the cause of the incident.
“My community has been restless since this incident happened. We have not witnessed anything like this since the history of this community. We are making efforts to determine what could have led to this tragedy,” Ugwu added
