The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced that Augustine Eguavoen will remain as the interim head coach of the Super Eagles.
The NFF’s executive committee approved the recommendation from its Technical and Development Sub-Committee to keep the former international in his position.
Eguavoen is set to lead the team in next month’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Libya.

Earlier this month, he guided the three-time African champions to a 3-0 victory over Benin Republic and a scoreless draw with Rwanda in their first two qualifying matches.
In addition to his role with the Super Eagles, Eguavoen will continue to collaborate with coaches Fidelis Ilechukwu, Daniel Ogunmodede, Olatunji Baruwa, and Tomaz Zorec.
He will also oversee the Super Eagles B team during the qualifying campaign for next year’s African Nations Championship (CHAN).
