FRSC Recovers ₦8.6m At Kaduna Accident Scene | Daily Report Nigeria
  • Operatives of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC have recovered a large amount of money from a crash scene in Kaduna.

  • According to the spokesperson, Olusegun Ogungbomide, the money was recovered following a road accident on the Zaria-Funtua Road in Kaduna State.

Men of the FRSC have recovered the sun of ₦8.62m from an accident which occurred between a Nigerian Army Ford pickup, and a Toyota Corolla.

It was gathered that the two vehicles with plate numbers – FST 134 FX, and KTN 316 HK collided after the driver of the Corolla lost control and rammed into the pickup track around 7pm on September 30, 2024.

The casualties includes three people, who suffered varying degree of injuries, and were rushed to the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Shika, for treatment. The third victim escaped without injury.

 

During the rescue operation, FRSC personnel found and recovered ₦8.62m from the scene.

The Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, commended the rescue team’s swift response and professionalism in handling both the injured and the recovered money.

He also emphasized that over speeding remains the leading cause of accident, adding that motorists should adhere strictly to the rules.

“The Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps, Shehu Mohammed, has applauded the rescue team of the Corps who successfully recovered the sum of N8,620,000 during a rescue operation that was carried out at the scene of a road traffic crash in Kaduna State,” the statement said.
