The lagos state police force have retrieved a sum of money which was extorted from National Youths Service Corps members.

Daily Report Nigeria recalls that an X user, identified as Oluyemu Fasipe has earlier reported the extortion to the police, as he lamented on how he and his colleagues were extorted by the officers attached to Area C command.

In recent updates, the money has been returned back to them.

Taking to his X page, Oluyemu expressed gratitude over the swift response of the Lagos Police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin and the Lagos State NYSC officials in ensuring that justice was served. However, he also noted that they are still awaiting the outcome of the officers’ trial, urging the public to remain vigilant as the case progresses.
