CSP Bolaji Olugbenga, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Ijanikin Police Station, Lagos State, has died after reportedly slumping in his office.
The incident occurred on Thursday night, and despite being rushed to the hospital, he could not be saved.
A police officer from the division, who spoke on condition of anonymity, stated, “He slumped in the office on Thursday and was quickly rushed to the hospital. But sadly, we lost him.”
The sudden death has left officers at the station in mourning, and his body has since been moved to a mortuary.
As of now, the Lagos State Police Command has not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
