  • The  Katsina state police force have successfully reached a kidnapped victim in the state.

  • The victim, who was said to h e been kidnapped a month a ago was rescued during a patrol by the police.

Men of the Katsina state police command have reached a 26-year-old man from kidnappers clutch in the State.

Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the victim, was kidnapped by hoodlums at Kwarare  in the Jibia Local Government Area of the state about a month ago.

He was said to have been travelling in a commercial vehicle along the Katsina to Magamar Jibia road.

Confirming the rescue in a statement released by the state PPRO, ASP Abubakar Sadiq, on Thursday, October 24, said;

“The command under the able leadership of CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa psc+, in a sustained effort against the menace of kidnapping and banditry, successfully rescued a kidnapped victim.

On 24th October 2024, at about 0630hrs, operatives stationed at Kukar Babangida village, Jibia LGA, successfully rescued a kidnapped victim while on routine patrol at the outskirts of the village.”

The rescued victim according to the police was taken to a hospital, where he is receiving medical attention.

 

The statement further said,

The rescued victim, one Mubarak Haruna, m., age 26 of Tudun Yanlihidda quarters, Katsina metropolis, was kidnapped by some suspected kidnappers about a month ago at Kwarare village while travelling in a commercial motor vehicle along the Katsina to Magamar Jibia road.

“Efforts are being intensified to ensure the arrest of the suspects as the investigation proceeds.”
