Gunmen have reportedly kidnapped nine travelers in Oshokoshoko, along the Kabba/Obajana/Lokoja Road in Kogi State.

The incident reportedly occurred last Saturday between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm.

Reports held that the victims included two students, three women, and four men.

They had departed from the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in Kabba.

The kidnappers initially demanded N30 million, but after negotiations, they reduced it to N2.6 million.

Eliazer’s wife was in a vehicle ahead of his, and by the time his vehicle reached the location, all occupants had already been led into the bush.

He said:
“My wife and I were travelling to attend our church convention scheduled for Lokoja, but I decided to follow a different vehicle as the Toyota could not contain all of us, else I would have been in the car with her.”
