The Nigerian Senate is set to screen seven ministerial nominees put forward by President Bola Tinubu.
This follows a formal request made on October 24, which was read during last Thursday’s plenary session.
The nominees include Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda for Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Bianca Odinaka Odumegu-Ojukwu for Minister of State, Foreign Affairs, and Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi for Minister of Labour and Employment.

The list also features Dr. Jumoke Oduwole as Minister of Industry, Trade and Development, Dr. Suwaiba Ahmad as Minister of State, Education, Idi Maiha for Minister of Livestock Development, and Yusuf Abdullahi Ata for Minister of State, Housing.

Reports indicate that all nominees have been cleared by the Department of State Services (DSS). Some nominees were seen at the office of the Special Adviser to the President on Senate Matters, Senator Basheer Lado, submitting their curriculum vitae in preparation for the screening.
