#EndBadGovernance:One Collapse, As Minors Get Arraigned I’m Court

Many have lashed out at the democracy in Nigeria, after minors get arraigned in court.

Daily Report Nigeria gathers that a total 76 underaged were arraigned by the Nigerian Police Force for their alleged participation in the August End Bad governance protest.

According to reports, one of the boys, who is said to be barely 15 has collapsed in the court, before Justice Obiora Egwuatu. on Friday, November 1, on Abuja.

The incident forced the judge to abruptly halt the proceedings and return to his chambers.

According to the lawyers of the defendants, the minors had spent over 80 on police custody before being brought to court.

With the help of lawyers in the courtroom, the frail looking boy was rushed to the court’s clinic as his co-defendants, who are mostly minors, weep uncontrollably.

 

According to the police, the minors, and their accomplices who are currently on the run had committed treason, an offence contrary to Section 96 of the Penal Code and punishable under section 97 of the Code.
