Farmer Arrested For Beating 2 Suspected Thieves To Death In Ondo | Daily Report Nigeria
  • Men of the Ondo state police command have arrested a farmer for the murder of two people in the state.

  • The farmer was said to have killed them over allegations of them stealing from his farm.

The police force in Ondo state have arrested a farmer, simply identified as Adegoke for murder and assault.

According to reports, the farmer was said to have killed two suspected thieves on his farm in Mile 10, Oniseere ward in Ore, the headquarters of Odigbo Local Government Area of the state.

Daily Report Nigeria gathers that Adegoke, who has complained previously of his farm produce going missing, and also his motorcycle being stolen on his farm land overreacted when he met the strange men in his farmland.

Adegoke was said to have beaten the two of the suspects to death, while injuring the others.

 

While speaking to a Punch, a source said;

Some suspected thieves had been stealing Adegoke’s farm produce. Before now, his cocoa, kola nuts, and plantains had been missing from his farm often. The thieves had also stolen his motorcycle on the same farm,”

“But he caught some people on the farm again and beat them to stupor, and in the process, two d!ed, and others were injured.”

Another source said:

“Before now, his Cocoa pods, Kolanuts and plantains had been missing from his farm often, including his motorcycle.”

Confirming the arrest on Sunday, the spokesperson of the command, Funmilayo Odunlami said to the police has commenced investigation into the matter.

Investigation into the incident is ongoing,” the PPRO added.
