The National Union of Obotebe Students (NUOS) will hold its mega and elective convention on Friday, December 27, 2024.
The NUOS Convention, which is in its eleventh edition, will commence on Thursday, December 26, as students from across the kingdom arrive for the event.
Themed “Taking Your Future by Your Hand: a Pathway to Success as a Crek Child”, the convention will raise awareness of the need for young ones to embrace education.
The ceremony will be chaired by Hon. Spencer Okpoye, Commissioner representing Ijaw ethnic nationality in the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) with Hij Chief Benjamin Ekeremor serving as a co-chairman.

The Chairman Burutu Local Government Area, Chief Julius Takeme, will serve as Special Guest of Honour, while Mrs Blessing Endoro will sit as Mother of the Day.
Keynote address will be presented by Engr. Abraham Erebugha PhD, while HRM Emmanuel Warewini Arikawei, the Ebenanaowei of Obotebe Kingdom, will oversee the event as Father of The Day.
