A total of 12 people were confirmed dead in the car accident that occured along Benin-Auchi road.

Reports reaching Daily Report Nigeria shows a total of 12 people died gruesomely In a motor accident.
The accident, which was said to have occurred between a Toyota Hiace bus and a truck along the Benin-Auchi highway.
This happened on Saturday, March 1.

Confirming the incident, the FRSC commander in Edo state, Cyril Mathew said the crash occured around 5am near an army checkpoint at Igueoviobo community.
He added that while the driver of the bus, alongside his assistant, popularly known as Motor boy/conductor left the bus unhurt, the bus went up in flames, making it impossible to save the passengers.
All 12 passengers burnt to death.
“The entire occupants of the bus were killed in the crash. The accident likely resulted from fatigue, as the driver may have dozed off, leading to the collision” he said
Mathew added that the families of the victims have been contacted.
