Mother In Amotekun Custody, For Assaulting 9-Year-Old Son With Pestle

• A woman is currently in police custody, following an assault case.

• The woman was alleged to have severely assaulted her underage son.

• She was apprehended by the Amotekun corp, and handed to the police.

Men of the Amotekun corp have arrested a woman following complaints of assault.

Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the woman, identified as Mrs Damilola Clement, a 43-year-old woman is alleged to have hit her 9-year-old son on the head with a pestle.

This happened at their residence in Efon-Alaaye, in the Akure area of Ondo state.

Confirming the incident, the Amotekun Head of Communication, Adewale Adeleye said the incident happened following a disagreement between the mother and her son.

He added that the woman has confessed to the crime, claiming she meant to punish him for his wrongdoings.

Adeleye added that the woman has been handed to the Efon-Ekiti Police Division for further investigations.

In related news, a man has been arrested for the murder of his mother.

Operatives of the Bauchi State Police command have arrested a young man for murder.

He was alleged to have hit his mother with a pastel.
