Love in Every Word Odogwu and Chioma

The main stars of the movie, Uzor Arukwe known in the movie as ‘Odogwu’ and Bambam with the identity “Chioma” in the movie portrayed the stereotypical Alpha Igbo man seeking love from a soft and feminine damsel.

The scene where Odogwu tells Chioma, ” I know you are my wife and I’m going to get married to you” straight a forward stance that many Igbo men on X and Facebook have identified with, equally going further to share their stories.

This means that Love in Every Word shares a relatable story with which most Igbo “Odogwu” men easily identify.

Chioma has just severed herself from a toxic relationship, coupled with the toxic work environment she found herself in.

She vows that she’s done with love but Odogwu comes in, the perfect embodiment of “Mr. Right” which Chioma doesn’t want because of his Igbotic accent.

But her friends opened her eyes to that amazing quality of Odogwu and how he’s every woman’s dream.

Chioma is caught between staying true to her vow or succumbing to Uzor’s advances.

Odogwu, a loud lover who uses money and confidence to woo Chioma resolved that he would get to any length to ensure Chioma is his, even if it meant bringing Ogene boys to accompany him just to get Chioma’s number.

Despite Love in Every Word‘s brilliant portrayal, it is not without some shortcomings. Many netizens have criticized its exaggerated displays, while many said Chioma was too feminine and dull in her acting.

Many also said Odogwu overdid the Igbo man role, and the use of ‘odogwu’ doings in the movie didn’t sit quite well with many young men who can’t afford such opulence to woo a lady.
