Logos Olori: Davido Deletes Offensive Music Video By Signee

Nigerian Afrobeat star Davido has deleted an offensive music video from his social media accounts.

The video, featuring his signee Logos Olori, received criticism from Muslim devotees due to a scene depicting men dancing in front of a mosque instead of praying.

The video’s deletion followed calls for retraction and threats of legal action from offended individuals.

The 45-second clip titled “Jaye Lo” was posted Friday on Instagram by Davido.

Former President Muhammadu Buhari’s aide, Bashir Ahmad supported Davido’s prompt response which “demonstrated” respect for the concerns raised by the Muslim community.

Ahmad said:

“It is good to discover that Davido deleted that offensive and hurtful video. Hopefully, the entire scene will also be deleted from the actual footage before releasing it to the market, and we humbly urge that the same grave mistake should never happen again from him or anyone else.

“Nigeria is a beautiful country. It is always amazing when we celebrate the beauty of living in unity and harmony while embracing our differences.”
