17-Year-Old Mother Kills Newborn Baby In Borno

• A young mother has been arrested for alleged murder.

• The teenage mother is alleged to have committed infanticide, following the demise of her baby.

• She has been arrested and is currently undergoing investigation and interrogations.

Men of the Borno state police command have arrested a girl for allegedly killing her baby.

According to reports, the 17-year-old mother, identified as Fatima Adamu gave birth to a baby boy on March 21, around 8:00am in

Confirming the incident, a witness, Fanna Modu, who heard the baby’s cry noted that the baby was no longer alive. Suspecting a foul play,he raised an alarm.

The police were invited, and upon in examinations, no sign of violence or struggle was detected on the baby’s body.

The mother of the child has been taken into the police custody, a d the deceased taken to the hospital for an autopsy.
