Group Tasks Okowa to Issue Final Verdict on Aladja/Ogbe-Ijoh Dispute

– Salutes Aladja/Ogbe-Ijoh Peace Vanguard, Stakeholders Over Peace Moves

The Ijaw People’s Development initiative, IPDI has appealed to the governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa to consolidate on painstaking peace efforts made by the Aladja/Ogbe-Ijoh Peace Vanguard to ensure lasting peace in the area.

The group as well expressed her in-depth appreciation for Aladja/Ogbe-Ijoh Peace Vanguard led by pastor Thompson Layefa and and other critical stakeholders for the peace moves in the two conflicting communities.

National President of the IPDI, Comrade Austin Ozobo who spoke to newsmen in Warri, stated he was impressed on the peace moves by Aladja/Ogbe-Ijoh peace Vanguard, sayiny that stakeholders should use the opportunity created to end every disagreements between the two communities.

The group insisteds that the efforts made by concerned citizens of the both communities shouldn’t be taken for granted and that further efforts be made by the state government in a bid to putting a finishing touch on the peace process.

Ozobo added that the main conflict bothers on the land in dispute and that for final peace to strive it was ideal that the land issues be finally put to rest.
