Inter Milan kept their Club World Cup hopes alive by grabbing a stoppage-time winner to beat Japan’s Urawa Red Diamonds 2-1 at Seattle’s Lumen Field.

Despite conceding early, the Italians dug in—and Valentin Carboni’s 92nd-minute strike clinched all three points.

Early on, in the 11th minute, Takuro Kaneko’s low cross was coolly finished by Ryoma Watanabe.

Inter Milan hit back straight away and nearly equalized before the break when Lautaro Martinez saw his header smash against the bar.

Consequently, the passion of both sides was locked together going into halftime.

After the restart, Inter Milan kept the pressure high. Henrikh Mkhitaryan lost a golden opportunity, yet the Nerazzurri refused to back off.

Then, in the 78th minute, Martinez cancelled Urawa’s goal with an overhead kick.

Thanks to Nicolo Barella’s perfect corner kick.

In the stoppage time, Inter launched one last attack and earned their reward.

A Petar Sucic shot deflected off Francesco Esposito and fell to Carboni inside the box.

The Argentine wasted no time as he scored to make it 2-1 at Lumen Field.

Meanwhile, that marks a perfect return after a long injury layoff.

The victory puts Inter Milan in a strong spot to reach the last 16, fuelled by their squad depth and never-say-die spirit.

On the other hand, Urawa Red Diamonds bow out after two defeats, even though they showed promise in both games.

Standout Moments:

11′: Watanabe put Urawa ahead early

78′: Martinez levelled with a brilliant overhead kick

92′: Carboni sealed it with a stoppage-time strike
