Biffo Resigns Following Clash With Kwara State Sport Commission

Abdullahi Biffo, Kwara united manager has been made to leave office out of frustrations.

The Kwara United manager relinquished his job not quite long that he came into disagreement with the Kwara State Sports Commission.

The club is now hunting for a possible replacement of the former Kastina United Manager who led Kwara United to fourth place in last season’s NPFL campaign.

As anticipated, the former Abia Warriors gaffer had said few days ago that he might be forced to give up his job after being served a query following a claim that he had cut a budget defense on October 23rd.

Debunking the allegation, he said the query was unnecessary as he was in the USA at that time waiting to recover after eye surgery.

Biffo was then accused of insurbordination to the Executive Chairman of the Commission for failure to attend his budget defence, an accusation he didn’t take lightly.

Biffo said: “The allegation and query seems malicious, lack substance and credibility while it also breaches the terms of my contract with Kwara United. I only signed contract with details of my job description in it. Besides at no time was an invitation to attend said commission budget defence sent to me.

“As a professional football coach, I value work ethic and well organized environment. I am no longer comfortable working for the club anymore, as it is a clear indication of malicious power tussle between sports management heirachy in the state. It’s not the best atmosphere for any Professional Football coach and me in particular to operate.”

He added: “Quitting the job will enable me focus on my treatment and health in US, while the club management finds a suitable replacement before the start of the new season.”
