The deal runs until June 2026, and Bremen will cover part of the 24-year-old’s wages.

Boniface signed for Leverkusen in 2023 and helped power their title run with strength, clever link-up play and a knack for finishing.

Bremen coach Horst Steffen said:

“I’m certain he can be a very important factor for us this season.”

With pace and physical presence, Boniface gives Bremen a direct attacking option as they chase points.

Werder Bremen Sign Victor Boniface on Loan

The club nailed the signing on deadline day after several earlier moves collapsed.

He attracted a reported €70m bid from Al Nassr in January, while a proposed switch to AC Milan later faltered over a medical.

Bremen opted for a loan that should deliver regular minutes and a platform for Boniface to rebuild form.

Boniface joins a string of departures from Bayer Leverkusen this window, including Florian Wirtz, Granit Xhaka, Jonathan Tah and Jeremie Frimpong.

For Werder, the move sends a clear late-window signal: they mean business.

In a separate report, Como 1907 confirmed they had mutually terminated Dele Alli’s contract.

The club said the former Tottenham Hotspur’s star wanted regular playing time; as a free agent, he can now sign outside the window.
