Promoter CSI Sports announced on Thursday that Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather have agreed to an exhibition bout set for spring 2026.

Meanwhile, no date or venue has been released.

The matchup pairs two of boxing’s most famous names.

Tyson, 59, finished his career 50–7 with 44 knockouts; he last stepped into the ring in November in Arlington, Texas, losing an eight-round fight to Jake Paul watched by roughly 70,000 fans.

Meanwhile, Mayweather, 48, retired from competitive boxing in 2017 unbeaten at 50–0 and has since taken part in exhibitions, most recently beating John Gotti III in Mexico in August 2024.

CSI Sports hasn’t announced ticketing, the venue, round lengths or safety measures – so plenty of questions remain about the rules and how the event will be run.

Tyson said he initially thought the match “would never happen,” but with Mayweather’s agreement called the bout “as unpredictable as it gets.” 

Given their profiles, the publicity and pay-per-view interest are expected to be huge, and the event will almost certainly dominate social media and mainstream sports coverage.

For now, fans can note spring 2026 on their calendars and wait for official updates.
