Veteran Fuji singer Pasuma has spoken out for the first time following an attack on his convoy during a visit to Ikire, a town in Irewole Local Government Area of Osun State.
The incident took place last Sunday when the artist travelled to the state for a scheduled performance.
A video from the scene quickly went viral on social media, showing damage to vehicles in his convoy.

In the background, a voice was heard raising alarm, claiming gunmen were involved: “We have been attacked in Ikire. They carry guns and shoot us, see Pasuma’s car. But God dey.”

However, in a recent live performance, Pasuma cleared the air and gave a detailed account of what transpired. He explained that the turnout for his show was overwhelming, with more people than the venue could accommodate.
“I have a lot of devoted fans in Ikire,” he said. “But like every town, there are always a few miscreants.”
According to him, a screen was placed outside the venue for fans who couldn’t get in, but some refused to stay outside and tried to force their way in. When security intervened, some members of the crowd began to throw stones.
“The windscreen of my Hilux and Hummer bus were damaged by stones, not bullets,” he clarified. “There was no shooting.”
Pasuma’s clarification has helped to calm concerns among fans, many of whom were alarmed by the initial reports.
