Bishop David Abioye of the Conquerors Global Assembly has revealed that his wife was once diagnosed with HIV during the COVID-19 pandemic but was later declared free of the virus after prayers.
The cleric shared the experience while teaching on healing during a Sunday live service, stating that he immediately rejected the diagnosis and demanded a recheck.

According to him, he stood on scriptural revelation and faith, insisting that the sickness could not dwell in his family.
He said, “During COVID-19, they said my wife had HIV, I said no. Not in this body. By the time they checked her… Because I got scriptural revelations — ‘the prince of this world came to check me and they found nothing’. So, I said go and do the check-up. They checked her up and they couldn’t find anything there.”

The bishop concluded his sermon by emphasising that “healing is not for gentlemen; you don’t nurse sickness to go, you fight sickness to go.”
