Okoh noted that the country has reached a critical stage where banditry, kidnappings and attacks on communities have become recurring tragedies. He urged the government to strengthen its security architecture, especially in vulnerable areas, and ensure that those responsible for killings and violent attacks are brought to justice.
He added that the government must not only confront the insecurity but also support displaced families and rebuild communities devastated by attacks.
“This is not a political demand; it is a humanitarian, moral and spiritual obligation,” Okoh said. “We must stand as one, committed to protecting human life and the dignity of every citizen.”

The CAN President further called on the CCN and the entire Christian community to remain united in the struggle for justice and righteousness. He said the voice of Christians must be loud and uncompromising in defending victims of violence and insecurity.
He reminded church leaders that their calling goes beyond church buildings and sermons, saying their true Christian witness will be measured by compassion, courage and the pursuit of justice.
Okoh urged participants at the event to renew their commitment to building a nation where truth is upheld, justice is respected and every citizen can live without fear.
