President Buhari Expresses Condolences to Ambassador Tamuno on the Death of Her Father

President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed condolences to Ambassador Tamuno on behalf of the Chepaka Family of Agbabiri, Okrika Local Government Area, Rivers State, following the death of their patriarch, Elder Clement Chepaka, at the age of 93.

Dr. Maureen Tamuno, Nigeria’s High Commissioner/Ambassador to Jamaica, Belize, and the Dominican Republic, is the deceased’s daughter.

Chepaka, a former Rivers State Ministry of Information media practitioner and producer, was a statesman, a keeper of history and tradition, and a disciplinarian.

In a statement, the President expressed condolences to the deceased’s family, friends, and associates, urging them to find solace in his good works, particularly at the Rivers State Ministry of Information, where he worked as a producer and broadcaster for many years

President Buhari also prayed for the repose of Elder Chepaka’s soul.

Although the family has yet to announce a date for the burial, they intend to give their patriarch a fitting burial.
Maureen Tanumo, the deceased’s daughter, is a woman endowed with intelligence, beauty, and confidence, and she believes that women should play important roles in society.

She has continued to put her God-given talents to use in the service of humanity over the years.

She has made enormous strides in diplomatic circles since her appointment as Nigeria’s High Commissioner to Jamaica.
