A devastating accident occurred on Friday evening at the Odijpata area of Orhuwhorun in Delta State, involving a passenger train returning to Ujevwe Train Station.
The train crashed into a vehicle carrying a family of six, leaving them with various degrees of injuries.
Eyewitnesses reported that the vehicle, containing a man, his wife, and their four children, had stopped at the train terminal, waiting for the train to pass. Tragically, the train collided with the vehicle, flinging it into a nearby ditch.

Fortunately, the family survived the accident, but they were badly injured and rushed to an undisclosed hospital for medical attention.

A Witness said:
“It happened on Friday here in Odijpata. The train driver almost killed the full family, a husband and wife and their four children were in the car heading towards the Odijpata railway area after the flyover when suddenly their vehicle was crashed and almost killed all occupants.”
