Police Arrest Suspected Mastermind of Abuja-Kaduna Train Attack | Daily Report Nigeria

The Nigeria Police Force has announced the arrest of Ibrahim Abdullahi, alias Mande, the suspected mastermind behind the Abuja-Kaduna train attack in March 2022.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, revealed during a news conference in Kaduna on Thursday that Mande was apprehended at the Abuja-Kaduna Road flyover near Rido Junction.

According to Adejobi, the suspect confessed to leading a kidnapping syndicate responsible for terrorizing the Kaduna-Abuja highway.

Mande’s criminal activities included the kidnapping incident at Green Field University and numerous other kidnappings along the Abuja-Kaduna highway.

Furthermore, police operatives arrested another notorious kidnap gang leader who orchestrated the September 2023 attack on Saint Raphael Catholic Church in Fadan Kamantan, resulting in the burning of a seminarian and the church.
