President Bola Tinubu has praised the Super Eagles following their impressive AFCON 2025 quarter-final victory over Algeria, describing the team’s performance as inspiring as Nigeria booked a place in the semi-finals of the tournament.

Reacting to Nigeria’s commanding 2–0 win against Algeria in Marrakech, President Tinubu took to his official X (formerly Twitter) account to commend the players for their determination and quality on the big stage.

“Brilliant performance… inspiring. Go, Super Eagles! You have the support of all Nigerians,” Tinubu wrote.

The Super Eagles outclassed Algeria with goals from Victor Osimhen and Akor Adams, continuing their impressive run at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. The victory not only secured a semi-final spot but also reinforced Nigeria’s status as one of the tournaments.

Nigeria have stood out at AFCON 2025 for their balance in attack and defence, showing composure, intensity and tactical discipline in every round so far.
