Bishop Gideon Osagie Osazee, the founder of Rollo Life of Christ Brethren Ministry in Benin City, Edo State, is currently in custody after being accused of sexually abusing two sisters who were minors at the time of the alleged incidents.
Officials of the Edo State Government confirmed that the cleric was arrested after days of surveillance and intelligence gathering. The arrest followed formal complaints lodged by the victims and their families.

According to the sisters, the alleged abuse occurred when they were 13 and 17 years old. The elder sister, who is now 21, told investigators that the incident happened while she was asleep.
“I woke up and realised it was my pastor,” she said. “He overpowered me and warned me never to speak about it.”
She further alleged that the cleric later organized a private midnight prayer session for her and made her swear an oath of secrecy, claiming spiritual consequences would follow if she spoke out.
The younger sister also stated that she was 13 years old when the alleged abuse occurred.
In addition to the sisters’ claims, four other young women have reportedly stepped forward, telling authorities they had similar encounters with the pastor. Their testimonies are now part of the ongoing investigation.
However, Bishop Osazee has denied all allegations of abuse. Speaking in his defence, he claimed he had a consensual relationship with the elder sister, insisting she told him she was 21 years old at the time.
He said, “She told me she was of age. I even bought her a ring because I intended to marry her.”
Authorities say investigations are still ongoing, and the case will be handed over to law enforcement agencies for further legal action.
