The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has declared that Nigerians who are not members of the ruling party now belong to the minority.
Yilwatda made the assertion on Tuesday in Jos, the Plateau State capital, during the official defection of Governor Caleb Mutfwang to the APC.

According to him, the APC has become the dominant political force across Plateau State, claiming that support for the party now cuts across virtually all wards.
“Every other person who is not in APC is a minority. From all the wards in Plateau, everybody is in APC,” Yilwatda said.

The APC chairman extended an open invitation to members of opposition parties, urging them to take advantage of the party’s ongoing online registration process.
“I want to invite the remaining minorities in other political parties. For your own good, this is the last opportunity. The window for online registration is open,” he said.
Describing the APC as a lifeline for politicians seeking relevance, Yilwatda added that other political parties were gradually losing influence.
“We are throwing you a lifeline. Come to our party and rescue yourselves because other political parties are drowning,” he declared.
Governor Mutfwang formally defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC on Tuesday, citing internal leadership crises within the opposition party.
