Sources cited in the report revealed that the talks may have opened a path to reconciliation, as Governor Fubara was said to have accompanied Wike to his Guzape residence in Abuja after the meeting.
The report further alleged that Fubara appealed to the former Rivers governor, pledging to avoid actions that could be perceived as disrespectful, a move widely interpreted as a bid to calm the long-running power struggle between both camps.
The intervention by President Tinubu appears aimed at restoring political stability in Rivers State, which has been gripped by internal disputes between key actors since the transition of power.
While neither party has issued a formal statement on the outcome of the meeting, political observers believe the engagement signals a possible thaw in relations and a step towards resolving the lingering crisis.
