Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has approved the appointment of Dr Dagogo Wokoma as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and Mr Sunny Ewule as his Chief of Staff.
The appointments were announced on Thursday in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr Onwuka Nzeshi, in Port Harcourt.

Fubara said the appointments take immediate effect, adding that both officials are expected to be sworn in later on Thursday at the Executive Council Chamber of the Government House in Port Harcourt.
The governor expressed confidence that the new appointees would contribute to effective governance and the smooth running of government activities in the state.
