Babandede Bows Out As Nigeria Immigration Boss, Jere Takes Over

Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Comptroller General, Muhammad Babandede has ‘bowed’ out of service, passing the baton to Deputy Comptroller General, Idris Isah Jere.

A valedictory service was held on Friday at the headquarters where serving, retired officers as well as Babandede’s family members and friends were present.

Durring his speech, Bandede said: “I am very proud today. I am leaving the Service better that I met it. I have made my contributions and I pray that successive leaders will improve on what we have done,” he said.

Dr. Sam Nwosu, Dr. Tony Luka Elumelu of the ECOWAS Commission and Mr. Rafael Rois Molina of FIAPP /ATPSOM hailed Babandede for his efforts and achievements.

Before taking over, Jere was in-charge of the Directorate of Finance and Accounts.
