The Department of State Services (DSS) has reacted to Friday’s court order asking it to pay Sunday Igboho N20 Billion.

The order was issued to the DSS by an Oyo State High Court as payment for damages done to Sunday Igboho’s Soka home in Ibadan, during an invasion by the DSS on July 1, 2021.

Justice Ladiran Akintola gave the order on Friday following a lawsuit filed by the revered Yoruba Nation agitator, who is currently detained in the Benin Republic.

Justice Ladiran Akintola in his judgment, declared the raid by the DSS illegal, and criticized it for “arbitrary aggression and prejudices”.

Akintola further dismissed an application by the DSS, challenging its jurisdiction for hearing the suit.

who reacted to the judgment told Daily Trust they are yet to be notified about it by the court.

However, the DSS has reacted to the judgment, saying it is not aware of the judgment.

Peter Afunanya, Spokesman of DSS told Daily Trust that;

“The court possibly has not informed us. So, my official response is that I don’t have any comments.”
