Victor Osimhen lost his dad on Sunday after he slumped and died.

Nigerian forward, Victor Osimhen has lost his beloved father to the cold hands of death, Daily Report Nigeria can confirm.

The Lille of France hotshot took to his verified Twitter handle to announce the demise of his late father, Patrick Osimhen on Sunday afternoon.
The loss of his father appears to really hit the 21-year-old hard has he stated in his tweet ‘no words can describe this feeling’.

With the loss of his father, the 21-year-old is now an orphan following the loss of his mother at a tender age.
The Ligue 1 tormentor had earlier revealed how his father helped himself and his siblings through difficult times while growing up.

He recounted how his brother sold sports newspapers, his sister selling oranges while he sold bottled water all in the Lagos traffic.

Osimhen is currently on a five-year deal with Lille after signing from Belgian Pro League side, Charleroi where he netted 18 goals in 38 outings for them.

He has gradually become a household name in the French top flight, rounding the just-ended season with 13 league goals and another four assists as Lille finished in fourth place.

The Edo-born striker who was voted Ligue 1 player for the month of September, is also touted to carry on the goal responsibilities for the Super Eagles especially following Odion Ighalo’s abrupt retirement from international football.

The former Wolfsburg youngster has helped the Super Eagles’ chances of qualifying for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon as they sit at the top of Group L. He has scored three goals in two matches, making a case that Ighalo is rarely missed in the squad.
