La Liga club, Barcelona have re-signed Brazillian right back, Dani Alves.
The club announced the legendary player as the first signing of new coach, Xavi Hernandez, on Friday.
Alves, 38, has since been a free agent after parting ways with Sao Paulo back in September. Though, he will not be eligible to play for the Catalan club until the transfer window opens in January.

The defender joined Barcelona from Sevilla in 2008, and played alongside Xavi, where they lifted three UEFA Champions League trophies, before leaving for Juventus in 2016.
Announcing the return of Alves, the club said;
“Barcelona and Dani Alves have reached an agreement in principle for the player to join the football first team for the remainder of the current season.
“The Brazilian will be joining training from next week but will not be able to play until January.
“In the Catalan capital, he made the right back slot his own across eight seasons, making 391 official appearances and scoring 23 goals.
“Alves has also played for Brazil, winning six major titles, most recently the Tokyo Olympic Games, where he lined up in the final against what are now his team-mates Oscar Mingueza, Eric Garcia and Pedri,” they added.
Alves faces competition from USA youngster, Sergino Dest and Spain centre-back Oscar Mingueza, for place at right-back.
