Security Brutalizes 12-Year-Old Boy Accused of Stealing Phone at World of Word of Life Bible Church

A 12-year-old boy has been reportedly brutalized by security operatives at the Word of Life Bible Church, located at Ajamimogha, Warri, Delta State.

According to the minor identified as Christian Ukusarw Mesiro, he had gone to church on Monday November 8 for the annual Jubilee Word Festival when the incident occured.

In a video posted by human rights lawyer, Omes Ogedegbe, Mesiro explained he was accused of stealing a mobile phone by an unnamed girl.

He was reported to the security men, who took him to their security house and tased him while pouring him Diesel, in a bid to get him to admit stealing the missing gadget.

The torture which started on Monday lasted till Tuesday, leaving the minor in a critical condition.

Mesiro was reportedly in a state of coma as at when his parents arrived the scene of his torture.

Mr. Ogedegbe in his post tittled “Almost killed where he went seeking salvation,” wrote:

This 12years old Christian Ukusare Mesiro went for the Jubilee word festival at the Word of Life Bible Church, Ajamimogha warri, Delta State on Monday 8th November, 2021 only to have been accused right in the auditorium of stealing a mobile phone.

The church security officials took him to a hall and used their electric shockers on him from the 8th of November to 9th November while they were pouring him diesel.

They parents came to see their son in a state of near coma and rescued him to the hospital that have now referred him to the UBTH. We demand for justice and call on the Delta stat police command to act accordingly.
