President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the recent killing of more than 40 passengers in Sokoto State by bandits.

Passengers who were travelling from Sabon Birni Local Government Area of the state to Sokoto Town were ambushed by the bandits who set fire on their vehicle and burnt them alive.

Reacting through a statement by his spokesman, Femi Adesina, on Wednesday, Buhari said: “I am very distressed at the manner of death visited on these hapless citizens who were undertaking a legitimate journey to another part of the country,”
