Brendan Rodgers men came out winners at the King Power Stadium in the league clash which saw the Reds ship one-goal defeat.
Disappointed, the 30-year-old held the players did not perform well in spite of the great chances created.

Yet, the Dutchman didn’t despair about winning the league title when he said anything could happen for the season is so long.
Meanwhile, Liverpool on Wednesday had knocked the Foxes out of the Carabao Cup on 5-4 Penalties after an amazing 3-3 comeback from 3-1 down.

Liverpool was awarded a penalty as Wilfred Ndidi tripped Mohamed Salah in the 16th minute.
However, the Egyptian missed the spot-kick as Kasper Schmeichel blocked it.
He also wasted another huge chance hitting the crossbar with a header.
Likewise, Sadio Mane saw scores of chances which he failed to convert before they were eventually trounced with Ademola Lookman’s lone goal at the hour-mark.
Van Dijk told the BBC: “I think we were poor in the last third…not a good performance.”
“We created good chances but unfortunately today wasn’t the day it went in the back of the net. Penalty miss, which happens. But it’s disappointing.”
“But we had moments we reacted and created chances to do better. You have to give them credit as well.”

He added, speaking on the Premier League title race: “What can we say? We’re in December. The season is so, so long. Anything can happen.”
“You have seen it with Covid and injuries – lots of things can change. There’s no point looking at [Manchester City] or Chelsea or the other teams around us.”
Following the defeat, Liverpool’s second of the season, The Reds remain behind the leaders, City on six-point difference while they also share same points as Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp’s citizens will be facing another big test as they’ll be heading on the 3rd- placed Thomas Tuchel’s men at the Stamford Bridge on the second day of New Year.
