Former Arsenal striker, Emmanuel Adebayor has charged the Nigeria women’s national under-20 football team to overpower Cameroon on Saturday, 23rd.
The Falconets will be heading on the Indomitable Lionesses today, in their 2022 FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup African qualifiers.
The clash is the first leg of the competition and has been scheduled to take place in Douala, Cameroon.

The returning leg between the Falconets and Alain Djeumfa’s citizens will therefore, come up on Friday, February 4th.
Meanwhile, the retired Togolese and Nigerian players boarded the same flight from Togo to Cameroon and the 37-year-old ex-Manchester City star seized the opportunity to speak to Nigerian players when they landed at Douala airport.

Adebayor, who was voted African Footballer of the Year for 2008 encouraged the players to be good ambassadors of Nigeria.
“I want to wish you well in your game against Cameroon women. You have to go out there believing that you will win because that’s what Nigerians expect from you.”
“So I urge you to go out there and make your second leg easier. Good luck girls,” the former Arsenal forward stated.
The former Tottenham Hotspurs’ star is presently in Cameroon to watch the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.
