One Mrs Motunrayo has been arrested by the police in Lagos state for the alleged murder of her husband, Alaba Bakare, aka Bama, in the Abule-Egba area of Lagos State.
According to reports, the deceased who owns a hotel in the Abule Egba area of Lagos had a heated argument with his wife, Motunrayo, during the argument Motunrayo plugged a pressing iron and used it on her husband which led to his death on January 14.
It has not been ascertained what led to the arguement between the couple as there are two different sides of the story.

According to some, Motunrayo and her husband had the argument after she found out that he got another lady pregnant, while others say Motunrayo during her interrogation said she got into an argument with her husband over his refusal to sack a particular worker in his establishment.
“After the attack on Sunday, she said her husband and her younger brother left the house to relax at a bar before returning home later in the day. When he returned, she said they gisted and went to sleep”.
“Ahe said she advised her husband to apply something on his chest, but he said she should not worry because it was a small thing and it would heal. She later said that they were having fun the following day when her husband suddenly started gasping for breath. They wore clothes and rushed him to a hospital where he died on that same day. She never said she drugged her husband”.
“We also heard the story of her husband impregnating someone and it led to a quarrel between them. But an investigation is still ongoing.” a police source said
The spokesperson of the state police command, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, who confirmed the incident, said Motunrayo and three other suspects had been arrested in connection with the crime. He added that the body of the deceased has been deposited in the Yaba Mainland Hospital’s morgue for an autopsy.
