Kidnappers have killed Rev Dauda Bature, pastor of Evangelical Church of Winning All, Nariya, Kaduna, after collecting an undisclosed ransom from his wife.
Daily Deport Nigeria can recall that Bature was abducted on November 8, while working on his farm in Rigasa, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna state.
Rev Bature’s demise was confirmed on Saturday by Rev John Hayab, the Vice Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria in the Northern States and Abuja.

According to Rev Hayab, the abductors also kidnapped Bature’s wife upon delivery of the ransom before setting her free later.
“They (bandits) kidnapped her (Bature’s wife) too. On November 18, the bandits released the wife and a few days later, killed the husband,” Hayab added.
Hayab who lamented over the bandits’ action to kill the clergyman after taking ransom from his family called on security agencies to increase their efforts in protecting lives and properties in Kaduna.
