Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand has stated that his former club is lacking in mobility.
He also advised the Red Devils not to sign Wolves’ Ruben Neves or Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans, claiming that the midfielders would not solve the aforementioned problem.
Paul Pogba could leave the club on a free transfer this summer, while manager Ralf Rangnick is said to be interested in strengthening the squad’s midfield options at the end of the season.

Neves, a Portuguese midfielder, was linked with a move to Old Trafford during the winter transfer window, but Wolves were unwilling to sell for less than £40 million.
Tielemans’ contract at Leicester expires this summer, and the club is willing to sell him for a fee of £35 million.
When asked about Neves, Ferdinand told Vibe with Five, “I like him, he’s fantastic, he keeps the ball as well as anyone, he’s a really good footballer.”
Ferdinand responded to the possibility of United signing Tielemans and Neves to partner Fernandes in midfield, saying, “That wouldn’t be my choice, to be honest.”
“I like them; they’re good players, but if you think midfield will get you any closer to the other teams, I’d argue against it.”
“We’d be lacking in mobility.”
