Nigerian evacuees from Ukraine have arrived in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
On a flight operated by Air Peace, they arrived at Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport at 6:35 p.m. on Friday.
The 181 evacuees from Poland arrived.

Following the intervention of the Federal Government and the cooperation of governments from Ukraine’s neighboring countries, the stranded Nigerians were evacuated to Nigeria.
According to Gabriel Aduda, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Federl Government has made every effort to ensure that no Nigerian is left stranded in any of the countries where they have fled.
Aduda stated that Nigerian airlines – Air Peace and Air Max – would transport Nigerians stranded in Romania, Poland and Hungary.
To alleviate their suffering, the Federal Government gave each returnee from Ukraine $100 (approximately N48,000).
This is according to Mr Abdur-Rahman Balogun, the Head of Media and Public Relations at the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission in Abuja.
The first batch of 450 Nigerians stranded in Ukraine arrived in Abuja via the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
According to Balogun, the returnees, mostly students, arrived in Nigeria at 7:10 a.m. on Max Air flight 747.
He did, however, say that evacuees from Poland would be unable to return on Thursday because their flight had been rescheduled for Friday.
He went on to say that Air Peace had left on Thursday to pick up the passengers from Hungary.
