Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed has described the persistent insistence of the federal government that it cannot secure the nation as unacceptable.

Bala also expressed concern that President Muhammadu Buhari lacks the needed support to effectively tackle insecurity.

The Governor stated this in Bauchi, the state capital while addressing local government chairmen in the State on Wednesday.

Bala, who offered to collaborate with the Federal Government in tackling the current spate of insecurity, also revealed that a local government area in Bauchi was recently invaded by terrorists.

He charged the council chairmen to do their best towards ensuring the security of their communities.

“It is unacceptable for the Federal Government to continue to say they cannot secure this country, our communities.

“We have the resources to do it. I really pity our father, the President and Commander-in-Chief. Because he really wants to do it, but he has not been supported.

“I as a Governor, head of a sub-national administration, I’m ready to work with the Federal Government to make sure we secure our state and country. It is our collective responsibility.”
