A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, High Chief Michael Johnny has said that Ijaws in Delta State have unanimously agreed to wait till 2031 to become governor.

He stated this while speaking at the governorship declaration of Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, on Thursday in Effurun.

According to the Gbaramatu-born chief, his Ijaw brothers have made a decision to wait until 2031 to takeover power from Omo-Agege.

Johnny also labeled the round making Ijaw Agenda as non-existent.

“There is an agenda flying on the media known as Ijaw Agenda. I want to assure you that is not anywhere.

“I and my people, the Ijaw speaking people of the Delta State have unanimously agreed to wait till 2031 to take over power from Senator Ovie Omo-Agege,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Federal University of Petroleum Resources was filled a mammoth crowd during the governorship declaration of the Deputy Senate President.
