BREAKING: Court Remands Rivers PDP Guber Aspirant, Farah Dagogo in Prison

A magistrate court sitting in Port Harcourt, as remained the lawmaker representing Degema/Bonny Federal Constituency, Farah Dagogo in police custody.

Daily Report Nigeria gathered that the frontline governorship aspirants was remanded in prison till May 9, 2022.

Governor Nyesom Wike had ordered the arrest Dagogo over an alleged disruption of the party’s screening exercise on Wednesday with cultists.

The Rivers governorship hopeful was arraigned in a magistrate court on Friday morning in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Dagogo, was arrested at the South South governorship aspirants screening of the People’s Democratic Party, on Thursday, at the party’s Zonal Secretariat in Port Harcourt.

The lawmaker was accused with charges bothering on conspiracy to felony and cultism when be appeared in court.

Presiding Chief Magistrate, Amadi Nna, said the court would not allow the charges, saying the law doesn’t empower Magistrate Court to hear a cultism related case.

Magistrate Amadi Nna thereafter ordered for the defendant to be sent to police custody and adjourned the case till 9th of May, 2022 for possible arraignment and consideration of bail.
