Atiku Abubakar, a presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party and a former Vice President of Nigeria, said on Sunday that if elected in 2023, he will implement a five-point development strategy for the country.

Atiku, who met with Abia State Special Delegates to the PDP National Convention at the Government House Banquet Hall, outlined his five-point development strategy, which includes establishing symbols of togetherness, dealing with insecurity, and the economy, education, and reorganizing the country.

“Nobody can name me anti-East or anti-race,” he remarked, adding that the South-East is his actual point.

He claims that the PDP will have been in opposition for eight years by 2023, and that “we must win the next election.”

Do you want to come back? Do we want to continue to be in opposition? These are the issues at hand.”

“Your aspirations as Igbo people will become a reality.” So please give me success so that your dream might come true.

“If we unify as the PDP and strive for power, we can attain these aims.”

“I came with these aims,” he continued, “and I believe we will work together to achieve them if you give me this opportunity.”

Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu had earlier paid Atiku a courtesy call and praised him for his perseverance in his efforts to unite and restore Nigeria.

“Nigeria has drifted further down the valley from where we are,” he remarked. Nigerians are facing tremendous difficulties and are pleading for the chance to survive.”

Asiforo Okere, the PDP state chairman, expressed his joy at seeing Atiku, saying, “We are not unaware of your services to the nation.”

Raymond Dokpesi, Atiku’s campaign director-general, praised him as “a detribalized Nigerian, clever deliverer of democracy, and a unifier.”
