Peter Obi, 2023 Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, has said that the forthcoming general elections would not be about tribe or connection
He said the elections will be centred on the capacity of candidates not their connection.
Obi stated this on Monday at the 2022 Annual General Meeting of the Nigerian Bar Association currently holding at the Eko Hotels, Lagos.

The former Anambra State governor said, “Remember, the election we are going to have next year will not be about tribe, not religion, not connection, not entitlements but about character, competence, capacity, and commitment to deliver.”

Also present at the event include Atiku Abubakar, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP presidential candidate, and the All Progressives Congress, APC vice presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima.
